Terms and Conditions

Rib Tours London Terms and Conditions

By making a booking with Rib Tours London you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure everyone is well prepared for their adventure, all passengers should arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to scheduled departure. Your safety and comfort are paramount and arriving in good time allows for fitting of life jackets, suitable clothing and any last minute instructions on your trip.

Please make sure you check-in with a Rib Tours London member of staff at the top of Festival Pier fifteen minutes prior to scheduled departure before proceeding to the embarking point.

Please listen carefully to the brief safety message from your tour guide before we set off.

Remember the Skipper is in charge at all times and during your adventure your guide may voice the Skipper's instructions concerning your safety and that of your co-passengers in the event of unforeseen circumstances or emergencies.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

All River Thames boats experience sudden and unpredictable movements from time-to-time that can aggravate existing medical conditions. Although we have no medical expertise we will advise you as best we can but the decision to sail is entirely at your own risk.

You are required to inform us of any conditions including but not limited to: current or past back problems, angina or any other heart conditions, epilepsy, dizzy spells and diabetes.

Rib Tours London does not accept expectant mothers aboard at any stage of pregnancy.

Rib Tours London does not accept any liability for personal injury, or injury to others and/or loss or damage.

CLOTHING AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS

For your comfort and safety, we will supply you with wet weather clothing and safety equipment; but remember it is always more windy and a few degrees cooler on the River Thames than on the London streets. Outside the summer months we recommend you bring gloves and a hat with you and in the winter months consider putting on an extra layer – especially if you're bringing the kids.

Rib Tours London do allow passengers to bring personal belongings onto the boat but do not accept responsibility for personal belongings that are damaged or lost at any time whilst on the boat.

Rib Tours London accepts no responsibility for any personal belongings that are stolen, damaged or lost at any time whilst on the pier.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Rib Tours London carry a maximum 12 passengers and minimum 6 passengers for each voyage; however, Rib Tours London may at its discretion take less than 6 passengers in circumstances where the boat has been solely chartered or a bespoke fee agreed in advance.

Where the minimum 6 passengers required for sailing have not been reached fifteen minutes before departure Rib Tours London reserve the right to change the time or day of your booking.

All bookings are non-refundable. Rib Tours London incurs costs and expenses immediately your booking is confirmed and we cannot therefore offer refunds.

All bookings are non-transferable except at the absolute discretion of Rib Tours London. Bookings may be considered for transfer only in extenuating circumstances and where Rib Tours London has received 48 hours notice. Please note we may charge an administration fee of up to 50%.

Please make sure you are present at check-in for your allocated departure time. If you are not present Rib Tours London will endeavour to contact you before your scheduled sailing departs only if you provide us with a mobile telephone number that you will use on your booking day. Please be aware if you miss your scheduled departure you will not be eligible for an alternative booking or refund.

Rib Tours London reserve the right to deviate from the boat's advertised route if necessary and may cancel or change the day or time of any booking with or without prior notice to the passenger.

All passengers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst on the boat and the pier.

Passengers of Rib Tours London aged 16 and 17 may sail unaccompanied but may be asked for proof of age by a member of staff or an agent of Rib Tours London.

Rib Tours London or their agents do not accept liability should a sailing be cut short, delayed, postponed or cancelled due to advice or instructions from third parties such as the Emergency Services, The Port of London Authority or The Maritime Coastal Agency; in the event of such circumstances out of our control replacement trips or refunds may be offered at the discretion of Rib Tours London.

Rib Tours London or their agents reserve the right of discretion to refuse to carry any passenger or passengers behaving in a manner likely to affect the boat's safety or the safety and enjoyment of other passengers.

Rib Tours London or their agents also reserve the right to postpone or cancel a trip or remove from the boat or the pier any passenger or passengers who do not follow an instruction or instructions issued by Rib Tours London, their employees or agents.

All passengers must wear life jackets for the entire trip.

Any passenger who manually inflates their automatic lifejacket either deliberately or accidentally other than being instructed to do so by the Skipper or the Guide has an absolute obligation to pay Rib Tours London a lifejacket re-assembly fee of £25.00.

Rib Tours London require all passengers to remain seated during the entire trip other than when instructed by the Skipper, Guide, or other employees or agents of the company.

Subject to availability, Rib Tours London merchandise is for sale. Please ask a member of our staff for more details; note that all prices are subject to change.

Rib Tours London will only take photographs and video recordings using their own equipment. Any photographs taken by Rib Tours London may be used for promotional purposes.

Rib Tours London and its employees or agents will not use passenger's photographic or video recording equipment.

Rib Tours London accept no liability if photographic or video equipment is not working and passengers are unable to purchase a photographic or video recording of their trip.

Rib Tours London or other authorised parties may carry out photography and/or video recording and/or other monitoring on or in the vicinity of the vessel which may feature visitors. What People Say

Ahoy there Rob and Tony!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for a fab trip and for the photos for Jasmine’s birthday. It is definitely the most fun I’ve had on the water! Oh, and the history stuff’s not bad either! Thank you both for being so hospitable. We will certainly be recommending you and to bring others with us for a second trip next summer. See you again soon.
John and Emily, Coventry, July 2011

We all loved the speed up at Canary Wharf but the kids really loved all the stuff about the history of pirates and Captain Kidd – Execution Dock gave us all the shivers.
With very best wishes
Frank and Linda Williams. August 2011
